One of the rich sources in professional ethics is the teachings of Islam which have identified the principles of professional ethics in religious sources. Human resource management in any organization is bound to take into account individual and organizational interests, needs of employees' career paths, while increasing their work motivation and organization's productivity. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Islamic professional ethics and career path of University of Zanjan staff. For this purpose, 30 employees were randomly selected. The data collection method was a researcher-made questionnaire. The data were analyzed using t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis in SPSS software. The results revealed that the level of adherence to the principles of Islamic professional ethics was at a medium to high level, meaning that staff were bound by these factors. The success of their objective career path, which includes rights, benefits and promotions, is moderate to low, but their mental career success score, which includes their perception and satisfaction of career advancement, growth, independence, achievement of career goals and having a good feeling about work is moderately assessed and there is a significant and direct relationship between the components of Islamic professional ethics and the success of an objective and subjective career path.
