Similarities that are based on the same apprehension for the painful search of the method of obtaining certainty and the meaning of prosperity, and the way of behavior in achieving happiness and moral virtues.  In this research, which was formed by descriptive-historical method and library study, while shining light on common states  for  Ghazali and Augustine in spiritual and moral aspects, the contexts of their mental and spiritual evolution are explained in an epistemological and methodological reflection, and in an intuitive way both in Achieving certainty and attaining happiness by returning to God and gaining His pleasure through instilling moral virtues is emphasized, and after that, Augustine's and Ghazali's moral system for achieving prosperity is compared and pointed to their integrated moral system. Also in the last part of this article, different aspects of Ghazali compared to Augustine, such as the acceptance of the dignity of reason in the end of  life and his avoidance of restrictions regarding the happiness of followers of religions, are examined. در این مقاله به مقایسة وجوه مشترک دوران تحول درونی آگوستین و غزالی، به ویژه تحول روحی و سلوک اخلاقی آنها در زندگی پرداخته شده است؛ شباهت‌هایی که مبتنی بر دغدغة یکسان آنها در جستجوی دردمندانه از یقین، معنای خوشبختی و نحوه سلوک در نیل به سعادت و فضایل اخلاقی بوده است. در این جستارکه به روش توصیفی- تاریخی و مطالعه کتابخانه­ای شکل­گرفته است، ضمن پرتو افکنی به حالات روحی و اخلاقی مشابه غزالی و آگوستین، زمینه­های تحول روحی آنان در تأملی معرفتی و متدولوژیک تبیین و به روش شهودی هر دو در نیل به یقین و حصول سعادت از راه بازگشت به خدا و کسب رضای او از طریق تخلق به فضایل اخلاقی تأکید شده است. در پی آن، نظام اخلاقی آگوستین و غزالی برای نیل به سعادت مقایسه و به مبنای تلفیقی نظام اخلاقی آنان اشاره و وجوه متمایز غزالی از آگوستین، مانند قبول منزلت عقل در فرجام عمر و نیز پرهیز او از حصرگرایی در مورد سعادت پیروان مذاهب بررسی شده است. https://jer.znu.ac.ir/article_704901_57cafb3b0ac15c9d78d53e634996cca6.pdf
